about Brent Hazelton
from the producer...

2019 marks the 100 year anniversary of Liberace's birth. What a marvelous time to celebrate all he gave to the world. Music, endless laughter by way of double entendre, joy, grand sparkling costumes, and the gift of bringing people together. Liberace had...Liberace has...heart!

When I first did this show, Liberace in 2015 at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center in Santa Cruz, what struck me most was the time I spent listening to countless stories after the show. The stories began with "...my family used crowd around our television every Sunday night to watch..." or "...I remember when I was five in 1980 and my uncle took me to see Liberace, I'll never forget". These encounters usually ended with the holding of a hands and hugs, tissues, and the tears of those who recounted their story. AND in this very building, the Grand Central Station Building...an occupant who used to cook for Liberace and another who used to dance at one of his clubs now working at the Pebble Beach Company.

Liberace still brings people together from all walks of life. His accomplishments, the legacy of music and the television he pioneered as well as the mark he left on the world is truly something unique, and extraordinary to be remembered.
